Long Phung Vietnamese Restaurant

If you are hunting for the best Vietnamese cuisine in Singapore, you will never go wrong visiting Long Phung. Many reviews have crowned this place as the best Vietnamese food in Singapore, offering the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Situated along one of the shophouses along Joo Chiat Road, this little shop may not be easily spotted even if you are driving along the road. Even so, it is still highly patronized by both Singaporeans and Vietnamese population.

Long Phung offers a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes ranging from noodles, rice to seafood. Its signature dishes include, Pho Tai (Rare Beef Noodles Soup), Pho dac biet (Noodles with various Beef Parts), Cha Gio (Vietnamese Spring Roll), Xo Huyet Xao Toi (Stir-fried cockles with Garlic).

Pho Tai (Rare Beef Noodles Soup) - $6.50

Pho Tai consists of rice noodles and rare beef slices, served in clear beef broth. The broth was really tasty, which you will definitely crave for more. Compared to other Vietnamese restaurants, which serve the same Pho Tai, I dare say that Long Phung has the best Pho Tai out of all. From the taste of its broth, we know that quality ingredients and spices were used in preparing the broth, giving it a unique taste that blends perfectly well together with the rice noodles and beef slices. Apart from the broth, this dish also comes together with a generous portion of beef slices.

If this is the first time you are trying Vietnamese cuisine, it is highly recommended that you could first start off with Pho Tai, so as to welcome your tastebuds to a brand new type of cuisine.

Dry Seafood Noodles - $6.50

The Dry Seafood Noodles is also another dish to recommend. This dish comprises of bee hoon, served with various types of meat such as sliced pork, chicken, prawns and fishballs. This dish was one of a kind, as the primary condiment was none other than olive oil. The combination of olive oil with bee hoon, gives diners the ability to taste the freshness of the ingredients in the dish. If you are someone who dislikes fanciful flavors and appreciate the most authentic taste from ingredients, this dish will definitely meet your expectations.
